2007....
It’s been over a year since that he-who-must-not-be-named moved away for work. At first, it was just another buddy moving away and I was fine with that. I never thought that he’d still stick around.
A little over a year ago, yahoo messenger, chikka and the cellular phone were the greatest technological break-through for me (during those black out days of mine). In an instant click and a touch of a button, you get to send and hopefully (in return), receive messages. I was in pure awe of this advancement!
Back then, the days were as easy as a breeze because we got to update each other on a daily basis. Days are not complete if, I have not received YM / chikka messages from that person. We bonded and even had a little of our own bickering moments in our virtual haven. We discovered the pleasures of sending photos of what things / places / people fascinated us. We laughed our hearts out by using the “Emoticons” feature and ultimately, learned how to outdo and outsmart each other by sending tricky and/or intimidating Emoticons. We do this every so often that we decided to call it “War of the Emoticons”. This inane past time could go on for hours. No words, no messages just plain and simple emoticons sent back and forth. The more intimidating, the better your score is and the first one to stop would be the sore loser for the day. The simple pleasures of our virtual paradise..
Fast forward 2008..
Sadly, all good things must come to an end!
Sad but true..
