I can turn GREEN and it ain't a Pretty sight!

It has been days (started on Thursday – to be exact) since I have been in an awry frame of mind. I just can’t seem to comprehend why there are certain groups of reckless inhabitants who just love to torment people. Is it a case of power tripping? Or they just simply take pleasure in alienating people, consequently making them feel like less of a person?

They converse as if they are the only ones in the room, lurking in the corners with a bit of ohhhhh-so daunting whispers and chuckles with diminutive pauses every so often.
Personally, It’s no longer cool and It sucks the life out of me! I am starting to feel uneasy and squeamish. I start getting paranoid by the minute and it just drives me nuts…

So, I blabber on my bspot to unload my burden and to cast off all these negative vibes. Hoping and praying hard that these thoughtless brats would soon come to their senses. If they don’t do it soon, they are pushing their luck too much! I don't know how much longer I can endure this psychological torment..
For my parting words:
As The Incredible Hulk said, “Don't make me angry... You wouldn't like me when I'm angry”!
You wouldn't want to push your luck for it will not be a pretty sight..

And I shall wait (not in vain)!

A friend of mine has asked me recently about an unwelcoming subject (for me). I answered with a deep sigh. Again, a deep long sigh and my head began spinning..I told her there's nothing to tell since there is nothing to talk about. She kept bugging me. Insisting that i should tell her or shall i say demanding that i tell her.. She asked why?
WHY? I dunno. She kept insisting that i am too secretive and that i tend to shy away whenever topics such as this is ever brought up! Yeahhhhh.. Blahhhhh.. Pause.. Blaaaahhhh... Pause was all i heard next.. If there was just a remote control within my reach, i'd gladly fast forward that conversation with her. It's not that she's is irritating but questions like this makes me think.. It makes me think and ask myself "WHY"?

Such a thought provoking question, Why all these Why(s) in my life? Honestly, i dunno. It's not that there is something wrong with me (or perhaps, there is?) or i do not go out that much.. It's just that there is N-O-N-E........N-A-D-A..... Z-E-R-O.! Sure, there were some boys, but all they did was just stare, smile, flirt, the usual routine of the exchanging of numbers, surprise text messages and calls but that was it. That was all there is! The longest i can remember was texting & calling me almost 24/7 for more than 4 months and asked me out a hundred times (But i refused!) and then it went poooooffffff! I havent heard from him ever again..

What bugs me most is that my sister has been teasing me about this for the longest time. She knows how frustrated i get when she teases me like crazy. I go nuts and just turn hysterical with all the drama! Talk about mental and emotional torture...

The funny thing is, there was this one time when i was appproached by a nun right outside the church and offered me a booklet about becoming one. She asked me outright, if i would like to become a nun. Of all the people right outside the church, why did she approach me and handed me the booklet? Why me? Was it suppose to be a sign sent from up above? Was "HE" trying to tell me something? Was it sort of a divine intervention? Should i be ignoring the what could have been the sign of the time?

I was taken aback by that incident. It may be a little bit funny in a weird way but it made me think. Would i want to reconsider? Shall i?

Perhaps when the time is right, when my reasons are dignified and my heart is still!
For now, Ill just take my time and just take my chance..
I will live like there's no tomorrow!
I will live the best I can....
I will live for the promise of hope, of waiting, of miracles and of falling into deep....
I will live......

10 Things You Didn't Know About You

10. Your Stomach Secretes Corrosive Acid

There's one dangerous liquid no airport security can confiscate from you: It's in your gut. Your stomach cells secrete hydrochloric acid, a corrosive compound used to treat metals in the industrial world. It can pickle steel, but mucous lining the stomach wall keeps this poisonous liquid safely in the digestive system, breaking down lunch.

9. Body Position Affects Your Memory
Can't remember your anniversary, hubby? Try getting down on one knee. Memories are highly embodied in our senses. A scent or sound may evoke a distant episode from one's childhood. The connections can be obvious (a bicycle bell makes you remember your old paper route) or inscrutable. A recent study helps decipher some of this embodiment. An article in the January 2007 issue of Cognition reports that episodes from your past are remembered faster and better while in a body position similar to the pose struck during the event.

8. Bones Break (Down) to Balance Minerals
In addition to supporting the bag of organs and muscles that is our body, bones help regulate our calcium levels. Bones contain both phosphorus and calcium, the latter of which is needed by muscles and nerves. If the element is in short supply, certain hormones will cause bones to break downeupping calcium levels in the bodyeuntil the appropriate extracellular concentration is reached.

7. Much of a Meal is Food For Thought
Though it makes up only 2 percent of our total body weight, the brain demands 20 percent of the body's oxygen and calories. To keep our noggin well-stocked with resources, three major cerebral arteries are constantly pumping in oxygen. A blockage or break in one of them starves brain cells of the energy they require to function, impairing the functions controlled by that region. This is a stroke.

6. Thousands of Eggs Unused by Ovaries
When a woman reaches her late 40s or early 50s, the monthly menstrual cycle that controls her hormone levels and readies ova for insemination ceases. Her ovaries have been producing less and less estrogen, inciting physical and emotional changes across her body. Her underdeveloped egg follicles begin to fail to release ova as regularly as before. The average adolescent girl has 34,000 underdeveloped egg follicles, although only 350 or so mature during her life (at the rate of about one per month). The unused egg follicles then deteriorate. With no potential pregnancy on the horizon, the brain can stop managing the release of ova.

5. Puberty Reshapes Brain Structure, Makes for Missed Curfews
We know that hormone-fueled changes in the body are necessary to encourage growth and ready the body for reproduction. But why is adolescence so emotionally unpleasant? Hormones like testosterone actually influence the development of neurons in the brain, and the changes made to brain structure have many behavioral consequences. Expect emotional awkwardness, apathy and poor decision-making skills as regions in the frontal cortex mature.

4. Cell Hairs Move Mucus
Most cells in our bodies sport hair-like organelles called cilia that help out with a variety of functions, from digestion to hearing. In the nose, cilia help to drain mucus from the nasal cavity down to the throat. Cold weather slows down the draining process, causing a mucus backup that can leave you with snotty sleeves. Swollen nasal membranes or condensation can also cause a stuffed schnozzle.
3. Big Brains Cause Cramped Mouths
Evolution isn't perfect. If it were, we might have wings instead of wisdom teeth. Sometimes useless features stick around in a species simply because they're not doing much harm. But wisdom teeth weren't always a cash crop for oral surgeons. Long ago, they served as a useful third set of meat-mashing molars. But as our brains grew our jawbone structure changed, leaving us with expensively overcrowded mouths.
2. The World Laughs with You
Just as watching someone yawn can induce the behavior in yourself, recent evidence suggests that laughter is a social cue for mimicry. Hearing a laugh actually stimulates the brain region associated with facial movements. Mimicry plays an important role in social interaction. Cues like sneezing, laughing, crying and yawning may be ways of creating strong social bonds within a group.

1. Your Skin Has Four Colors
All skin, without coloring, would appear creamy white. Near-surface blood vessels add a blush of red. A yellow pigment also tints the canvas. Lastly, sepia-toned melanin, created in response to ultraviolet rays, appears black in large amounts. These four hues mix in different proportions to create the skin colors of all the peoples of Earth.

In the mood for Caribbean

One hot Caribbean Friday night @ Waterfront Insular

Thanks to EGG for the invite! Our Friday night was another ohhhh-so fabulous affair. It was the Recognition night of the hotel's loyal clients and we've got passes to the event. The theme for the night was Caribbean. It was mentioned beforehand that there was a dresscode but we totally ignored that rule. We love to be a bit different!

We (EGG, CJPP and LGG) headed off to our dinner at Waterfront. When we got there, we were a bit worried because the people who showed up for the event went all-out Caribbean on us. It's all too late to change wardrobes so there's no way to back out now. As we approached the tent, the place was beaming with bright lights and some jazzy music. There really was the Caribbean glow all over the place. We were greeted with our "a little edgier blue welcome drinks" and the famous calachuchi and then headed off to scout for our table. People started coming in and I got all excited.
A few minutes more, the program started. It continued for about 20 minutes before another infamous incident ocurred. Somebody stepped on the wires that was connected to the powersource leaving the program to be interrupted not once, but thrice! Thrice! During the AVP, famous and influential people gave testimonials about the hotel's world class service. True enough, the hotel has been one of the famous landmarks of the city of Davao and has been in the business for quite some time now. The hotel has even reaped numerous awards for its being a world class hotel and unparalleled hotel service so it was just the opportune time to celebrate!
It was about 7.15pm when they announced that dinner is now available. Yes! I have been long preparing myself for this moment. LGG and i went to the sweets table, hopped on to the pseudo-chinese table. I ate a bit then decided to check out the japanese section's table. I was not up for sushi and tempura, so i had to say NO..
I ate some more while chit-chatting with the group. LGG and i striked back! We decided check out the Dishes. I sampled their breads, curry, beef, fish and a lot more. I savored every flavor of the food. My caribbean romance was a bit short but sweet. We headed home and Iwas running late for a scheduled movie date with my groupies. The movie's screening time was 8.30pm so EGG and CJPP dropped me off at Ncccmall. I was reserved a ticket so there i was...Batman battled the Joker in Gotham city.. The Dark Night was really "THE BATMAN" movie! It was just so exhilirating to watch and truly, a brilliant masterpiece (me drooling over ChristianBale)!
Caribbean Dinner @ Waterfront and a movie date with my groupies, that's definitely a TGIF! Saturday is another story..Saturated Day!

RECOLLECTION

24

I got lots of surprises from friends and officemates. They bought me a oh-so yummy-choco moist cake and even had some bday greetings posted on our department's door and some balloons too. It was really unexpected but a very good surprise on me. A sweet and unexpectedly worth-the-wait birthday celeb!

Location: Maria Cristina Falls
April 2007

I just love this! It's a motion shot and i wasn't even aware that someone took this shot from the back angle.
It looked liked the excursion was just another personal tour with the Boy Band! I remember following the guard and Manong Boy with Flix and Domz right behind me... A fun road trip with the boy band.

Strike while the Iron is Hot..
In this case, pose while the sun is up!
I remember looking at the fish structures along the road so we decided to stop and took pictures of it. It was about 3 in the afternoon and it was really burning HOT. Passers-by were looking at us since, we altern
ately took pictures and even made our signature poses...

Nonetheless, the pictures we took served as our souvenirs since this artsy fish structure is non-existent already. Too bad, they took it off! (Did they?.. im not sure!)

What we do BEST...

Captured Moments: our chinese meal night out and the sweet encounter)
((thanks to KTL for the shots!!))

Manic Mondays? Definitely not mine!

HIGHS: After work, our food guru invited us "once more" to yet another chinese cuisine delight night out. The destination, Tong Yang Restaurant. It was the first time for Cha and Engr but Tet and I have been to this place way back May so we knew what we wanted to have. KTL, being the food guru gave our newbies some food pointers and even suggested what dishes to try.

It took us about 5 minutes or so to decide. We sampled the resto's shabu shabu (with different soup base) and the grilled pork, chicken and sausages.
Seeing the table filled with food made our tummies more than satisfied. Good food with a very affordable price was something we could all smile and brag about..."Gluttony" sure made the night more exciting! The Tong Yang experience was another certified hit!

PART 2..It ain't over until it's over!
The night was far from over. We headed to another famous place (along Torres Street) to have our much anticipated desserts. KTL has been raving about this particular dessert that she had the previous night, so we decided to try it out ourselves. Sadly, when we got there, the waiter informed us that they no longer serve that dessert since some ingredients were not available. What are the odds? Anyways, we left the resto with heavy hearts (A major heartbreak)! We will be back for sure and will never rest until we have that dessert that KTL has been raving about...

Chocolates and Sweets, here we come!
After much heartbreak over the unfulfilled dessert cravings, we deliberated where to get our sugar supply. The good thing about Torres area is that there are coffeeshops on almost every street and corner. The area is literally booming with caffeine dosage and sweets are almost available anywhere.
Suggestions started to pour in and the group decided to check out Kangaroo coffeeshop. The place was really nice and cozy. The desserts (cakes displayed) were just heavenly! A lot of choices to choose from with reasonable prices. Since there were four of us, we strategically order 4 different slices of cakes (so we can just share with the group). We found the right spot and were just smitten with the place that we took glamour shots of ourselves.

The Kangaroo experience gave us the Sugar rush that we needed for the night. The staff had an outstanding customer service too. Kudos to them! It's a must-see place for those people who would want to unwind, chit-chat and to just chill out. Why the name Kangaroo? KTL gave us a little bit of a background but i would not want to spoil the mystery.

The verdict: Absolutely more trips to this hip and cool shop!
LOW: Tet received a text message and it was a big blow on our faces!
It was just so heartbreaking. Could not help but sob in the corner...
