What we do BEST...

Captured Moments: our chinese meal night out and the sweet encounter)
((thanks to KTL for the shots!!))

Manic Mondays? Definitely not mine!

HIGHS: After work, our food guru invited us "once more" to yet another chinese cuisine delight night out. The destination, Tong Yang Restaurant. It was the first time for Cha and Engr but Tet and I have been to this place way back May so we knew what we wanted to have. KTL, being the food guru gave our newbies some food pointers and even suggested what dishes to try.

It took us about 5 minutes or so to decide. We sampled the resto's shabu shabu (with different soup base) and the grilled pork, chicken and sausages.
Seeing the table filled with food made our tummies more than satisfied. Good food with a very affordable price was something we could all smile and brag about..."Gluttony" sure made the night more exciting! The Tong Yang experience was another certified hit!

PART 2..It ain't over until it's over!
The night was far from over. We headed to another famous place (along Torres Street) to have our much anticipated desserts. KTL has been raving about this particular dessert that she had the previous night, so we decided to try it out ourselves. Sadly, when we got there, the waiter informed us that they no longer serve that dessert since some ingredients were not available. What are the odds? Anyways, we left the resto with heavy hearts (A major heartbreak)! We will be back for sure and will never rest until we have that dessert that KTL has been raving about...

Chocolates and Sweets, here we come!
After much heartbreak over the unfulfilled dessert cravings, we deliberated where to get our sugar supply. The good thing about Torres area is that there are coffeeshops on almost every street and corner. The area is literally booming with caffeine dosage and sweets are almost available anywhere.
Suggestions started to pour in and the group decided to check out Kangaroo coffeeshop. The place was really nice and cozy. The desserts (cakes displayed) were just heavenly! A lot of choices to choose from with reasonable prices. Since there were four of us, we strategically order 4 different slices of cakes (so we can just share with the group). We found the right spot and were just smitten with the place that we took glamour shots of ourselves.

The Kangaroo experience gave us the Sugar rush that we needed for the night. The staff had an outstanding customer service too. Kudos to them! It's a must-see place for those people who would want to unwind, chit-chat and to just chill out. Why the name Kangaroo? KTL gave us a little bit of a background but i would not want to spoil the mystery.

The verdict: Absolutely more trips to this hip and cool shop!
LOW: Tet received a text message and it was a big blow on our faces!
It was just so heartbreaking. Could not help but sob in the corner...
